The story behind David Crowder Band's Lite Brite® video

I hope all of you got to see the David Crowder Video for S.M.S. (shine) at our DC worship night last Friday. For those that didn't, you can take a look here:

And while the video is fantastic, amazing and 12 other adjectives that I can't corral right now there behind the scenes story of how it was made and what it is about makes it eve better. Did you know that the band put together that little stop-motion masterpiece themselves? Here's an excerpt...

...the point is, when you want to tell a story to someone who’s not really listening, you want to take your time and get it right. so, when this means purchasing every Lite Brite(r) peg on eBay, you do it. and when your math reveals that you’re not even close to having enough pegs yet, you do it again. like four times. this, the purchasing of every Lite Brite(r) peg on the internet felt like a bucket list item – you know, you’re sitting around, thinking, “hmmm, what i’d really like to do today is buy every Lite Brite® peg that exists on the internet right now.” and then you do it. i’ll tell you though, by the fourth time you do this, the buying of every Lite Brite(r) peg on the internet, it’s more annoying than fun.

then the boxes start arriving on your front porch.

If you want to read more, you'll have to click through to Mr. Crowder's blog, which should be on your weekly reading list anyhow.

Pop up books are funny

I came across this pop book in a thrift store and thought it was pretty provocative for a depiction of Adam and Eve.
