Beautiful Day at Smithville Lake

We had a great day at Smithville Lake yesterday. We went out early to set up and after troubleshooting a lack of electrical cords and then lack of power, we finally got rolling. 350+ people came out to worship, hear the word and watch 15 or so folks get baptized. Then we shared lunch. There was a ton of activity all around as kite surfers, boaters, and skiers took tot eh waters. The skies were invaded by the largest kites I've ever seen with a couple being over 50 feet long! All in all it was an amazing day, despite my delightful sunburn.

The Nesmith live at Intentions

On a rainy Friday night I got to check out some friends and their bands playing in Overland Park. It brought back a lot of memories from "the band days" It was neat to see kids I've known since they were born getting out there and doing something like this. As an observer it was interesting to watch the crowd react and the guys on stage responding to the adrenaline rush.

Bil and Michael's Excellent Adventure

Pastor Michael and took a road trip to Columbia, MO yesterday to meet our new friend: Shane Adkisson from Mosaic Christian Church [http://www.mosaicstlouis.com]for lunch. We met at the 63 Diner for a throwback experience. I would highly recommend this place for fans of Vanilla Cokes, deep-fried anything and 50's decor.

(spolier alert) Inception Infographic

I saw this come up in some feeds a few weeks ago but avoided looking at it because I hadn't seen the movie. I saw it today and consider my mind officially boggled. Pardon me if you've seen this already but I had to dig this up and see if it would bring some clarity and indeed it did explain confirm a few things. Driving home felt like we were still in one of the dreams. I can't stop thinking about it.
